We are looking for a qualified Registered Nurse to join our team at ESGWND, Inc!  This position is a full-time, benefitted position.  Responsibilities of this position would be medication education to direct support professionals, CPR education, guiding principle and practice of nursing cares to those who are supported, advocating for medical care and direction for individuals supported, and ongoing training development in response to changing medical advances and diagnoses to those we support to assure that quality care is continued to be delivered.  This position works 30-36 hours/week and is elgible for benefits.

The Agency Registered Nurse (RN) performs a wide variety of duties in oversight of the care of individuals and families supported by Easter Seals Goodwill ND, Inc. (ESGWND)

Essential Functions:
     • Be fully aware and positively promote the Mission, Vision and Values of ESGWND.
     • Have a strong knowledge of ESGWND’s policies and procedures.
     • Develop and implement “Plan of Care” with other agencies and providers for individuals supported by         ESGWND. .
     • Supervise, provide both formal and informal oversight, direction and support to other RNs and LPNs so they can support individuals to achieve their optimum health.
    • Ensure that other designated staff are monitoring and documenting health information so complete and accurate information is available for the medical professional if the supported individual is seeking medical care.      • Ensure that other trained DSPs are trained to assist individuals in administering their medications.
     • Ensure that individuals, their family and/or other DSPs are able to schedule, attend, participate and follow recommendations received at medical appointments.
    • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
    • Coordinate with other Team Members to maintain an effective Team through proper training. .
    • Provide direct care to supported individuals if necessary.
    • Ensure all regions are following agency and state policies.
    • Communicate with supported individuals, their families and other Team Members on a regular basis.
    • Maintain good Team Member relations.
    • Participate in and use knowledge gained through The Council on Quality and Leadership in Supports for Persons with Disabilities and protocols established by ESGWND and the State of North Dakota Department of Human Services.
     • Motivate Team Members and deal effectively with performance issues.
     • Ability to travel to all service areas covered by ESGWND.  Travel required 20%-30%
     • Proficient computer skills and work within Therap to go through GERs and provide medical recommendations and process improvement.

Qualifications/Basic Position Requirements:
     • Be a Registered Nurse licensed by, and in good standing with, the Board of Nursing in the State of North Dakota or a reciprocal state. Licensed Practical Nurse will be considered.
    • Clear background checks as required by regulations.
    • Prefer one year of experience working directly with people with developmental disabilities.
    • Become certified in CPR and First Aid.
    • Become certified in Developmental Disabilities according to a prescribed schedule for completion of modules.
    • High level of confidentiality.
    • Prefer prior supervisory experience.
