General
Purpose:
Plan and maintain salvage and warehouse operations per established expectations, ensuring a safe and accessible work environment.


Essential Functions:
  • Be fully aware and positively promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Easter Seals Goodwill ND, Inc. (ESGWND)
  • Ensure that quality customer service is provided to all customers, donors, and Team Members.
  • Maintain an approved work schedule, as approved by supervisor. Notify the Supervisor as soon as possible regarding the need and expected duration of any absence.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Load and unload trucks with general merchandise and donated goods.
  • Sort and place materials or items according to a predetermined sequence.
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
  • Maintain product inventory system per current expectations.
  • Perform baling operations for salvaged commodities, as required.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Maintain the site according to established standards and keep the work area clean and orderly.
  • Ability to drive yard-dog and arrange trailer.
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  • Sweep, dust, and mop.
  • Work to meet assigned productivity goals.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and work rules.
  • Use correct lifting and material handling techniques and follow ESGWND’s safety procedures including wearing the proper safety equipment.
  • Forklift operation and certification; training will be provided.
Qualifications/Basic Position Requirements:
  • The ability to work in an environment consisting of odors, dust and extreme fluctuation in temperatures.
  • Must be able to accommodate two (2) hour periods of standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and sitting. Must be able to lift 35lbs without help.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Have knowledge of First Aid and Safety.
  • Valid State driver’s license and proof of insurance required to drive organizational or personal vehicle on ESGWND business.
